Welcome

So much has happened across Lifestory since our last update and despite the Covid roadmap being slightly delayed, our communities have remained buoyed by the prospect of final restrictions being lifted soon. Throughout this prolonged and difficult period our team has remained positive and proactive, and with our communities very much open to welcome potential and new customers, we have continued to provide the necessary safety measures to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Organisations such as the Royal Voluntary Service have been at the forefront during the pandemic and have been coping with the high demand to support those in need across our communities. Committed to investing in the local neighbourhoods surrounding our communities, we are proud to have announced our partnership with this charity, which is in full swing with many of our team members pledging their valuable time to volunteer for this fantastic and worthy cause.

Over the last quarter, it’s also been great to be able to launch our innovative and engaging ‘Lifestory In Conversation’ podcast, initially focusing on the foundation of Lifestory and the importance of legacy in our communities in which we build new homes for each stage of our customers life and then also highlighting the fabulous work that our land and planning teams do. We look forward to being able to share further episodes to further highlight the thinking, expertise and approach from right across our business.

Thanks to the fantastic work being delivered by our land teams, we’ve had some notable successes as we target the creation of 5000 new homes over the next five years. Amongst these, it’s been great to see the acquisitions of exciting new sites in Solihull, Chertsey and Maidenhead. We have also secured the planning approval for a collection of new homes in Lymington, Hampshire and we have begun the construction of a new communities in Bath, Cranleigh and Wooburn Green.

It has also been positive to see the strong market in London, which has been demonstrated by the successes seen across our Anthology portfolio with a 75% increase in reservations across Anthology Stratford Mill and Anthology Hale Works over the past three months.

We look forward to keeping you updated as we continue to ease out of lockdown and the property landscape navigates back to steady grounding.
